CNC Machine + Workshop
On site, Grymsdyke Farm has a wood workshop and a 3 axis CNC digital fabrication facility (bed size 1500mmx3000mm). There are a series of on-going developments to expand our workshops which already include a casting studio, a ceramic studio and a metal working area. As director, Guan Lee is responsible for the overall operation of the place running workshops for his students at the Bartlett and University of Westminster. In addition, Lee works in collaboration with Unit teachers from other architectural schools; in London, such as University of East London, Central Saint Martins and in Canada, University of Waterloo. Lee accepts submissions for private designs and commissions for building works, which have involved sculptural projects, furniture and prototypes too. Furthermore, Grymsdyke Farm has a joint venture as Mesa Studio which runs a CNC milling service.
The workshop in Lacey Green is also equipped with laser cutter (bed size 900mmx1250mm) and a Zcorp 3D printer.
